We take care of the art activity, invitations, and decorations so that all you need to do is sit back and enjoy your child's special day!
Our parties revolve around an art activity guided step by step by one of our Gloworm teaching artists. The birthday child can choose from any of the creative activities below.
Our birthday party activities include:
Custom Pencil Cases (7 - 12 year olds):
Customise and decorate your very own fabric pencil case using paint markers!
Anime Faces (8 - 15 year olds)
Draw a unique portrait of yourself or an imagined character in Anime style using pens and watercolour paints!
Fairy & Wizard Wands (5 - 9 year olds)
Create your very own magic wands using ribbons, paints, decorations and of course sparkles!
Flying owls ( 5 - 12 year olds) : Create a rainbow owl using collage and watercolour paints! Together we will learn how to paint an owl and to make our own feathers that make our owls look like they're flying through the air.
Sparkly watercolour Unicorns (5 - 12 year olds): Create a painting of a unicorn using sparkles and watercolour paints!
Dinosaurs (5 - 12 year olds):Draw, paint and decorate a dinosaur!
Paint your own Imaginary creature (5 - 12 year olds): Dive in to your imagination and draw the most extraordinary creature you can think of!
Hot air balloon paintings (5 - 12 year olds): Create a colourful, pattern filled watercolour landscape with a hot hair balloon flying up above!
Robots (5 - 10 year olds): Draw and collage a unique robot!
Watercolour cupcakes (5 - 12 year olds): Learn to draw a series of cupcakes then use your imagination to design the toppings and colours. We use coloured patterned papers, glitter and beads to stick on to our paintings as decorations. Warning: you might be hungry for birthday cake after this yummy activity!
Jungle Safari (5 - 12 year olds): Draw, Paint and decorate a jungle filled with all the wild and exotic animals that live within it!
Piñatas (7 - 16 year olds): Create your own mini animal piñata filled with yummy treats to take home!
Paper Crowns (7 - 16 year olds): In this activity we paint and draw flowers, leaves and/or feathers and attach them on to a paper crown for each party goer to wear. We paint our creations with watercolour paint as well as metallic silver and gold paints. (Suitable for ages 5-14)
Watercolour flower and/or succulents (10- 16 year olds): Learn how to draw and and paint various succulents, flowers and plants using pencil and watercolour paints.
Fashion illustration (10- 16 year olds): create a series of illustrations of your dream outfits or costumes!
Acrylic painting on canvas (10- 16 year olds): Paint a masterpiece using acrylic paint on canvas! This activity is led step by step by one of our resident artists.

FAQ
How long do parties run for?
Our parties run for 90 minutes.
How much do our parties cost?
Our parties begin at $360 for up to 10 children and $20 per child after that.We can have up to 16 children in our studio.
What is the structure of the parties?
We begin with some fun creative games to warm up, we then spend most of the first hour creating a step by step artwork as a group. The following 20 minutes are for food and the final 10 minutes are for singing happy birthday and cake.
Do you have a minimum age for parties?
The minimum age for our parties is 5 years old.
What does Gloworm Studios Supply?
We provide all art materials, art activity, aprons, invitations, cups, plates, serving bowls, water jug and platters.
We do not supply lolly bags. Please feel free to bring along your own.
How many guests can we invite?
Our space allows for up to 16 children.
What days/times are parties held on?
We run parties on Saturday afternoons from 1 30 pm - 3 pm and Sunday’s from 10 30 am - 12 pm and 1 30 pm - 3 pm
What should we bring to the party?
Lolly bags, Party food, birthday cake, knife for cake and birthday candles.
What time should we arrive?
Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the start time of the party. We will have everything set up and ready to go and will help you to unload food from your car.
Can guests' parents stay?
Gloworm Studios is a cozy space therefore we cannot accommodate parents of party goers. The birthday child's parents, siblings and grandparents are welcome of course!
